Daniel Costantino, Roseland, is the first player in West Essex FC history to try out and be selected to represent his age group in the 2011 boys category for the NJ Olympic Development Program. Daniel's commitment to his community, his willingness to volunteer in our futures program, and excel in his studies at West Essex Middle School are attributes that are at the core of WEFC.
Daniel currently is on our 2010 Eagles EDP. He started playing at WEFC by participating in clinics and joined the 8u team the following year.
Daniel tried out for the NJ ODP because he wanted to represent NJ and play with more experienced players. While initially nervous during the tryout, he started to feel more comfortable once the drills started. Danel's most memorable moment to date is scoring against Connecticut in the East Region Tournament. He is excited to learn from different coaches and develop new strategies. Daniel is proud to represent the WEFC and encourages younger players to be a positive teammate and not be afraid to try new things!
