While Governor Murphy has announced that youth sports can start on June 22nd.   All of our practices will be in accordance with the Return to Play Guidelines that were developed by New Jersey Youth Soccer (click on this link to read in full) N.J. Youth Soccer's Return to Play Guidelines. (On June 22, we will be in Phase 3: Public health authorities allow small group activities).

❏ Training sessions will be conducted outside in an area where physical distancing can be maintained.

❏ Upon arrival to training, coaches/staff will ask each player (or player’s parent) if he/she is experiencing any signs or symptoms of COVID-19. Any participants (i.e., players, coaches, and staff) who have had any signs or symptoms of COVID-19 in the past 14 days or who were known to be exposed to someone that has been ill in the past 14 days will NOT be allowed to practice.

❏ There will be no physical contact between participants. There will not be scrimmages conducted and all exercises will be structured to AVOID direct or indirect contact between the participants (e.g. bumping, tackling, shielding).

❏ Participants will be working under a technical and tactical instructional environment.

❏ Coaches and trainers will maintain social distancing (6 feet apart) with the participants.

❏ Players will be reminded not to touch equipment (e.g., cones, goals, and other equipment) with their hands.

❏ Trainers will not bring vest/pinnies to sessions.

❏ Participants are required to bring their own water bottles, towel, and any other personal hygiene products.

❏ Ensure participants are wearing appropriate (e.g. government required) personal protective equipment.

❏ Establish a cleaning schedule/protocol for equipment with the proper use of disinfectant before, during, and after training.

This approach follows the guidelines for Phase 3 of the Return to Play Plan developed by N.J.Y.S., and W.E.F.C. will follow the recommendations of N.J.Y.S. in their entirety. We will stay in Phase 3 until Phase 4 is recommended by the State and or Federal government. We hope that this information will help guide you in making the best decision for your child.  The season is tentatively scheduled to begin on September 12, 2020.
